went 'book hunting' on the internet today. was looking for interesting japanese novels on sf site. and found Nisio Isin. then i started to hunt for his works and maybe that i could buy online, i found out quite a lot though with out much success on my original point. seriously!!! they are so hard to find!! wikipedia doesn't have much stuff about them!

i first got interested at DDD full name 'Decoration Disorder Disconnection' by Nasu Kinoko (the guy who did Fate/Stay Night's plot, which manga i was planning to read last year but didn't) which started my search. sadly wikipedia doesn't have anything at all about it!!!! and the information i could get on SF is hardly any, due to the bad translation by randomers/the way its being put up by randomers it was pain in the ass try to figure the plot out! especially when its already in SIMPLIFIED chinese(Traditional is my cup of tea if you don't already know). is not that i can't read simplified coz i used to chase a book on the net and have developed the language section of my brain so i now understand it. But it was painful to read in very small writing and the lack of punctuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so at the end i went to search other jap novels or light novels if you wanna call them that. i went to this HK publisher site, they have a lot of them but its all the rom-coms!!! the happy-girl and happy-boy kinda thing. or fake fantasys of being part of fantasy but actually is a rom-com, rom-com. if you know what i mean. there weren't anything intense. something that really grabs you in and shock you to an extend that you might even have sudden shivers when you see something so unpredictable. something that leaves you with a thought, challenging your mind and kept thinking about even when you are in bed at 3am just finish reading it. that was what i was looking for!! not happy, happy, stupid rom-coms!!!!!!!!! i don't mind some of it, reading just to relax kinda, but after the japanese style rom-coms of china during the summer. i think they are challenging my mind's limit. i felt insulted (?)for allowing myself to read such pointless things and actually bought it!!!! it was kinda becoz they were really cheap!!! books from china are sooo cheap!

so i decided i would find something intense and challenging as i am going to collect the whole series.(coz jap light novels ve a lot of vol.s) which was fairly difficult, as basically all i could find was rom-coms or have quite an amount of comedy in it(i want something really really intense). then i got to Nisio Isin, i really like this author. his Death Note LA BBcases was amazing! and i really like the way he write. well he had a bit of comedy but he was able to keep it in gd con.

then i found this person's blog of her feed-backs of a lot of books, and i wondered what she does as some of her books was in shown in trial versions and the non-corrected ones. but she has a good opinion on books, very well thought and really into the book and all. so i kinda read her feed-backs and picked out some of the things i would like to read too. and i found out that we kinda sharing the same thought, as i find her most of her books very interesting and her points fairly like mine. so i got a couple titles from her as well.

then i found out that there was OFFICAL DEATH NOTE NOVELS!!!!!!!!!!! which i am very very interested in and going to get/add to christmas wish list for hazel... and i had a peek of the end of the L one, it was sooo sad! but at the end, i had a thought of 'well, thats L. and that's what he does.' so i accepted the ending. and that's one powerful thing of the author Tsugumi Ohba able to do -you can't argue what his characters do, you would just accept the things they did as a natural thing for them. in DN's case L's death. some people questioned why he would let one of his main character die, but to me thats what L would do, so he does it!

if you want me to talk about it, it would take weeks. i thought i would continue this topic for another entry or so, but i probably wouldn't. coz i wouldn't really have the feeling anymore.>.< i will just have to see!

p.s. guess what i only realize that this journal was suppose to be about the major discovery of the offical death note novels and not really the book hunting.
